Service Technician

The Role

Due to our ever expanding service department we are seeking a highly motivated service technician to join our team. Within this role you will be based in our Welshpool office, you will be required to service and repair electric and diesel welders, generators. This will include all makes and models.

We are looking for someone who has an electrical back ground of sorts for this position, you will be provided with on-the-job training including industry training.

Please note: This is NOT a boilermaker position, boilermakers need not apply unless they fulfill the requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• You will need to be familiar with equipment such as Generators, Engine Driven Welders, and Welders.
• Reading schematics and diagnosing systems
• Welder and Generator fault finding
• Testing and tagging machinery
• Maintaining paperwork with good communication skills
• Customer Service
• Fault finding and troubleshooting ensuring all faults are fixed and quickly resolved.
• Attending breakdowns and performing service work in line with Company procedures to ensure each piece of equipment is fit for use.
• Completing scheduled services to ensure customer requirements and service agreements are upheld and to ensure the safety of the customers equipment.
• Daily workload management ensuring that all customers are attended to promptly.
• Deliver a professional level of service at all times.
• Maintain an accurate service diary/timesheet record of work performed.
• Basic welding experience and Mechanical knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications and Skills

• Manual C Class License
• Electrical License
• Welding or diesel repair background preferred

Experience

• Electrician: 1 year (Required)
• Electrical: 1 year (Required)
